3.1 Introduction Loading in buildings consist of the combined dead and imposed load which exert a downward pressure upon the soil on which the structure is founded. This in turn prompts an active force in the form of an upward pressure from the soil. The structure is in effect sandwiched between these opposite pressure thus the design of the building must be able to resist the resultant stresses set up within the structural members and the general building fabric. 1. Berdiri/stance Berdiri merupakan asas untuk membuat panahan. Pelajar hendaklah mendapatkan kaedah berdiri yang paling konsisten dan selesa sebelum membuat sesuatu panahan. Terdapat beberapa cara berdiri yang biasa digunakan iaitu “square stance” dan “ open stance”. Kaedah berdiri untuk kedua-dua cara ditunjukkan dalam rajah di bawah. LANGKAH 2 : MEMASANG ANAK PANAH (NOCKING THE ARROW) Langkah-langkah untuk memasang anak panah merangkumi beberapa gerak kerja seperti di bawah: i. Pegang busur merentangi badan pemanah dalam kedudukan yang sedikit condong bagi memudahkan pemanah memasang anak panah. ii. Keluarkan anak panah dari quiver dan pegang pada bahagian nock anak panah. iii. Letakkan anak panah pada “arrow rest” . iv. Pusing anak panah sehingga sayap anak panah yang berwarna ganjil menghala ke luar busur dan bersudut tepat dengan busur.
